Over a decade, there came a man who was arrested and charged with multiple counts of Forgery, Financial Identity Fraud, and Identity Theft. Living beyond his means from the day-to-day crime sprees he was able to use his earnings by turning it into a lucrative business. As an entertainment and concert promoter he grew the likings of the biggest names in entertainment, from P. Diddy, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Nas, Mary J. Blige, Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, Common, Too-Short and others. In addition, being a community pillar, and family man, Averie was living a separate life as a community citizen and one of the most sophisticated and elusive identity thieves in the country, bilking millions from unsuspecting lawyers, corporations, business owners, executives, celebrities and ordinary citizens while dodging state and federal law enforcement officials across the country. With the mind of a genius and resources he was capable of turning himself into anyone and everybody (man or woman) to get what he wanted. In 2003, he was apprehended, charged and served time. Having pled guilty and deeply contrite for the angst and pain he had caused his victims, Averie is explaining his methods, machinations and motivations.
